Jo Cope is an innovative artist and lecturer with a Masters in Fashion Artefacts from the London College of Fashion, and a BA in Fashion design from our very own Nottingham Trent.  Known for her interdisciplinary approach that blends fashion, art, craft, and performance. Her work, deeply rooted in exploring the cultural and conceptual significance of shoes, spans across various mediums including craft, film, performance, photography, and installations.

After the lecture about her journey and her works we had the privilege to be given some individual feedback on our work and an ‘outsider’s eyes’ on our projects.

We were mixed across FTK (the disciplines within Fashion, Textiles and Knitwear including Pattern Cutting) in mixed groups which was again fascinating to hear more than we usually have the opportunity to from our peers in other disciplines, and we were impressed by how much Jo had to offer for all of us considering how very diverse our individual niches were.
