Podcast; Oli Royce’s Predictions of the Future of the Fashion Industry

Oli’s first subject was one that has come up with every single lecture we’ve had so far this term; NETWORKING! Oli had quite a different angle to add, that networking is a numbers game. “The more people you know, the more opportunities come your way” this is of course intuitive but it might not be something that occurs to you when it comes to job applications time.

One of Olli’s other points was another that comes up every time; having a social media presence and an impressive LinkedIn account.

I’ve since started taking mini videos of each stage of my work and process and I will figure out how to make a video edit with them to add to my social media.

Oli had a helpful tip that people will respond infinitely better to content that is in some way game-like, whether that be visual, audio, or a kind of style, it adds memorability and fun and is a great strategy.  I’ll try to incorporate this in my content.
